Merry X-mas,
And our plans for next year
Read on...
Anyhow, 2006, soon to be gone.
Hope this has been a good year to all our members, most whom own or still support a cortina memory somewhere. Also like to think that your goals have been achieved or addressed before the new year has gone.
www.fordcortina.com.au is 1yr old on 25thDec06. I put the original site to air on Chrissy day in 2005. I was relaxing after a large xmas dinner and having a few drinks. The original site which was only a gallery was averaging 1000hits a week.
Within a few months, it soon became apparent that more interaction was required for members and/or guests. This happened when the Geeklog backend, which was previously used for the calendar, polls, etc, became the single structure which the new site was built around. I must admit, i like the various polls we have had through the year, it is a challenge to come up with something different every 50 approx votes. Since the newsite our membership has increased to over 150+ within the first year, congrats and cheers to many more better years to come.
We have many exciting new adventures happening in the new year and some great opportunities for members and guests to become involved in our activities.
Until next time, keep posting those great pictures, maybe try a topic write up in the contribution section of the menu, or say your bit in the forums, even if its just a vote in the polls, this site is for those lucky enough to believe in the Ford Cortina.
Good luck to all, Merry X-mas and a Happy New Year.
Try to be carefull, prepare for your journey, drive safely, unless you drive a Cortina.
