4 years later & still not done. I took it off the mechanics last month that basically built the engine & let it sit in their shed for 4 years. So what its got is re-painted same colour, new bonnet without hole, 9" re-built & installed (its too short trying to find rims. Hopefully dont have to tub it.) Front end rebuilt & chassis strengthened. Ill try get the engine & box in over the Christmas period if I can get away from the family....

I destroyed 2 mk2 centres & axles after working the 2 litre in my mk2 doing burnouts. Ended u getting a 28 spline  Commodore LSD modified with Torana Brakes. Works a treat.

Hey mate, thats my car. I didnt do the coversion though. Has stock engine mounts Im pretty sure. No room for mechanical fan with the engine in though. I have a thermo at the front. Also to remove the starter u need to undo the engine mounts & jack the engine up a bit. I gotta start coming back here more.

What state are you in? If SA try and avoid Rodtech if you want things done in a timely manner. They take forever and the work isn't up to the standard it should be for the time taken in my experience.

Ive got a 2 litre in my MK2, to work the balls of it cost about 4 grand including gearbox rebuild & exhaust. Just put a 6 cylinder commodore LSD in it to which cost about the same to get modified. Only problem with it I can see is you have to pull engine or at least unbolt it and jack up (probably would have to unbolt gearbox to) to change the starter. Mine has only been run in and now of the road for a couple of years while work getting done. Now it just needs some panelbeating, a paint job & new interior but Ive got other pending projects that are first in line. Good luck.
