I seem to recall one of the forum members from New Zeakand saying that he bought a power steering unit for his TC or TD from the rading post or similar in New Zealand.
Since then I have emailed heaps of wreckers in NZ and all the replies are in the negative for a power steeing unit from a British Cortina to fit my TD. If the guy I am talking about is reading this, can you please PM me through this forum in regards to getting a power steeeing unit.
By the way, am I the only one on this forum these days?

lol im here nothing to add much though, how keen are you for power steer is it, tc td power rack only or ........ any good with a welder, te tf subframe would probly go in reasonably eazy, there welded in anyway, or take some measuerments of the manual rack you may find a rack with similar dimensions to the tc td mite just need to change rackends (iv seen blank ones befour so the threds can be cut to whatever you want) maby weld the mounts on from the manual rack, maby a bumstop between the rackend and rack shaft to stop it overexstending lots of mid size cars with power steer thease days probly with a variable ratio to
Im probly no help but now you know someones here! ;)

NZ had australian version cortinas as well in regards to the te/tf vs mk4 and 5. you have to go to a rhd european country to get a mk4 or 5 rack.
a te or tf front end is a major engineering feat just for power steering although after watching tils thread anything is possible :D
