Hi all, just rebuilding my steering rack in my TC cortina and cant find the 2 bearings I need to finish the job.
Does anyone have these bearings for sale or know where I can get them. Car is almost finished and this is the one thing that is holding me back. Thank you

Try a transmission and diff parts supplier , they usually stock steering parts to.
Assuming the original ones are rooted then? Depending on condition they can be reused.

i've never pulled the bearings out and they're stuffed. all i could think of is taking them to a bearing place like skf or cbc and hopingthey can match them up by dimensions.

Thank you very much guys, may just reinstall the original bearings and be done with it. Car is nearly done. :)

Omar are the bearings knacked?
Quick way to test the condition of the bearings,
clean them,
hold a bearing in the palm of one hand , then with the thumb on the other apply pressure and rotate the bearing.
If it feels notchie there are pit marks in the surface area the ball bearings run on, if it rotates smooth its good to go back in.

Performed the test and they seem to be ok (move freely). What type of grease would the steering rack require? Thanks again

i use htb on the bearings but depending on which school u went to we used to either use grease on the pinion or gear oil.
