Title: Differances in trailing and control arms
Post by: 43som on January 21, 2013, 10:48:51 PM
I have tried to search for such a topic, but with no success.
I've got 3 cortina's tc and 2 TDs. The tc is getting tidied up for sale, and 1 td is our project.
Question I have is:
Are tc, td, te, tf trailing arms and front control arms the same?
Theres a few suppliers that have refurbed te/tf trailing arms, but would these go onto a td/tc?

trailing arms - they're all the same size but the tc doesnt have holes drilled to mount a rear sway bar.

control arms - tc have about 3 different types, td 1 type and not sure about te/tf

The front are very close between a TD & TE, Not sure about TC. As for the rear, again their essentially the same. TE/TF do have a bolt on sway bar which attaches via unbolts to the rear of diff housing. Hope that helps.
