I went to the all ford day today and was surprised at the lack of classic and old school cars. There was way too many modern cars. There were 4 cortinas there and i dont think there will be any next year. There was a class for cortinas and a class for capris for judging. I knew 2 people that entered their cars. At the end of the day they didnt call out any awards for both of these and there are now a few unhappy people. Im glad i didnt enter mine as i would have been pretty unhappy wasting my time and not having anyone in your class win anything..

That will make them happy. I will be entering mine next time. Been busy doing the front bushes and painting the components and put on some convos on the front. Now to get another cortina diff and get it shortened and some billet axles made up. Didnt see your dads cortina there. Saw your ute there.

Look forward to seeing it next year mate. I wanted to take dad's but he wanted to fix up a few things and didn't finish in time, i think it would have done well this year too but you get that. On the good side it made it easyer to get my two cars up there, Dad drove my ute and trailer and i drove my XW GT. can't wait for next year now.
-
Yeah can't wait till next yrs event. I always enjoy them. Pity there isnt another one held later in the year aswell. Hopefully i can pull my diff out of the tc in the next few weeks and get it shortened and figure out what offset convos i can fit on the rear. Thinking max size is 15x7 or 15x7.5. I already got 15x4 on the front with 135 tyres. Do you know what width the ones on your dads car are on the rear.
-
Im sure they are 8'' with 225's on them. had to shortn the diff by 25mm each side. are you going to tub or minnie tub it. I didn't tub at all, i got the wheels and tyers with the off set i wanted. I then took out the diff and sat the wheel in place and measured it up.
-
Thanks mate. Definately not going to mini tub it as don't want to keep the body structure original. I've heard some people shorten their diff by 50mm each side and some 25mm each side. So not exactly sure on the exact measurement.
