For sale 1977 TE Cortina V8
351 Cleveland , full Victorian Engineering , Yella Terra roller rockers , MSD 6A Ignition , MSD Distributor & coil , built for & running on LPG & Custom headers that are HPC coated.
Car has travelled 18000 kms since conversion & had travelled 73000 kms prior to conversion.
Shortened 5 stud 9” L.S. Disc brake Diff with Moser billet axles.
Heavy Duty A.O.D. 4 speed auto built by Australian Wholesale Transmissions with Transmission cooler.
Davies Craig water pump, booster pump & twin thermo fans controlled by Davies Craig digital controller module.
300mm 5stud front discs , 4 piston callipers , braided brake lines with XD booster & master cylinder.
15’ XD Fairmont Ghia wheels in V.G.C. in order to fit front brake rotors.
XG ford front seats on Cortina seat rails fitted , along with new carpet & tinted windows.
Interior colour has been changed to Grey from original Burnt Orange.
Interior roof lining has had tears repaired , is also dark grey & new black headlining will be supplied with car.
Vehicle has been fitted with full Ghia interior & trims but is not genuine Ghia.
Front & rear bars have been re-chromed & are fitted with Ghia over riders in VGC.
Tacho converted to work with V8 & all other gauges working correctly.
Pioneer radio cassette unit fitted with 6”x9” speakers in rear & 6” speakers in front.
Vehicle is also fitted with aftermarket integrated air conditioning & cruise control.
Car also fitted with Ford factory Heavy Duty towbar.
Bushes & suspension joints all replaced & most bushes are Nolathane.
Door, boot & window rubbers/runners all replaced.
Sway bars have been upgraded to heavier Whiteline bars to suit V8.
Front & rear springs are Pedders & are to suit 6cyl motor as V8 actually only weighs 38kg more than 6cyl.
Engine mounting system & modifications to fit 351 supplied by Mark at M.D. Conversions in Sydney, who is happy to be contacted re the conversion to this car.
Car has original paint in most places ,slight colour difference between drivers door & rear door from a previous repair & has marks , small dents & paint imperfections that come with a 37 year old car. Exterior trim is in VGC & as can be seen in photos.
Chrome trim in windscreen has not turned orange ,when car has spent 37 years in the sun, as car was garaged by previous owner & also by me.
Vinyl roof is in VGC & has no cracks or tears is not dried out & there is no rust under edges of vinyl anywhere on roof or pillars.
Interior is in VGC apart from repairs on roof lining.
Car will be sold with RWC & if sold in Victoria will come with rego plates currently fitted.
I have owned this car for approximately 8 years & is a great cruiser & is enjoyable to drive.Its a bit of a torque monster but I did not build it to drag race just to cruise to shows & travel around in something different that looks stock.
Selling as my wife finds the car too small & not comfortable for her .
