Title: mk4/5 cortina estate 'wagon' rear seatbelt bars united kingdom
Post by: madmatt01 on May 19, 2016, 08:06:15 PM
Hi guys.
I am after some rear seatbelts for my wagon. I am in the UK and understand that there's more available in aus. Does anyone have a set there willing to ship to the UK?

Cheers guys

Matt

Aussie seat belts are different. I got a set of UK style from New Zealand a long time ago. Australian Cortina's don't have inertia reels in wagons.

Ahh ok. Are the aussie belts no good then?

Currently going to run the mk2 granada drop loop style but would like the bars long term

Are the UK rear belts retractable?

Yes they are. Coil back onto a real. But if I can find the bar I could bolt retractable belts to it

I picked up the bar and belts off a Cortina in New Zealand. You could make something up to do the job, I remember thinking it didn't look really like a factory finish more like added on at the last minute to comply with a rule. I grabbed the seat belt covers off a sedan as well to cover the reels to tidy them up.

OK,  guess il just stick with the mk2 belts until I can either make some bars or some pop up.

Thankyou
