Title: '65 GT Cortina Fast Back 2 door
Post by: stiffupperlip65 on December 18, 2008, 08:57:11 PM
My father owns the '65 GT Cortina fast back and i would like to know if anyone has any info on it or any idea how much its really worth as he is thinking about selling it. Its all original apart from the 2 litre engine and the rear spoiler. We have photos if this would be of any help. Feel free to contact me at carnivalklox@live.com.au

Hi, Just my 2 cents worth. The only fastback cortina's i ever seen or heard about are from South Africa. We have a member here somewhere from South Africa, although haven't seen him online for a while,
But it could be worth a bit of a look in that direction.
Also another member, P100 has heaps of info on cortina strains, i'll push him for his 2 cents worth also.

Goodluck.

Thank you Timmeh, (P100).
Legendary stuff as usual.
An all Australian car that could of been a best seller to match the early vauxhaul/torana style of cars would of been a sure winner.

hi mate does this car live in tassie because ive seen it before
they were built in very limited numbers in gelong ,but not by ford they came in 2 & 4 door im pretty sure they were all based on gt`s i cant remember the name of the body builder but they used to do all the odd mods like ambulances and hurses conversions for ford customers
thats all i know about them but that pixelmaticsite should shed some more on it  :P
