Title: That rare wheel!! ¿¿¿???
Post by: Ale06 on April 18, 2009, 08:23:53 AM
Anybody can help me this?
I realized that the last series of TFs have a different wheel than our Taunus TC3.
I would buy one or maybe swap it for other spare part from Argentina.
Let me know if you can find one for me or where I can find it.
Thanks a lot.
Here the pic of the TF s wheel that I want.

TF's are starting to get a bit rare in the wreckers now, it's easier to buy a whole car and wreck it out. Those wheels can be found around $40-$70 Aus. The problem you may have is the steering shaft spline, it may be different to yours as in Australia the models shared a lot of Falcon content and the Ghia TE's and TF's had a different shaft length to L's and GL's.

If you give me your email address I'll send you some photos of the steering shaft and I found a steering wheel in my collection I'll take a photo of the boss section and see if you can adapt it. I have seen some of the English type Cortinas and the steering section is more like a Escort.
