Title: engine biuld in process
Post by: te_78 on May 20, 2009, 06:33:41 PM
gday all,
got an engine build going on at the moment. 250 x-flow. ive got an immaculate block. bored and honed at 20thou over. crank has been ground and balanced. got some flat tops. undecied on cam spec as yet, thinking about the 14619. but im not sure on solid or hydraulic lifters?? going with roller rockers and getting some work done to a xe allow head. Will be running a 600holley on a 4barrel manifold, pacemakers and a 2 and half inch exhaust. will have a 5speed manual behind it and will be used for street/strip application. thats about all i can think of at the moment. any suggestions on a cam would be nice. bloody excited to get the old girl back on the road!!

hi, stick to a single pattern cam which has the same lift and duration on both the inlet and exhaust valve as x-flows are over exhausted from std and dont work as good with duel pattern cam which have more lift and duration on the exhaust.. the crow 14650 is a great cam and also check the camtech website as all their x-flow cams are single pattern.. cheers
