Hi all, just fitted a big brake upgrade kit to my TE,got the xb master as required. After a few mods here and there it all fits, that is till i go to fit the 15" mags which are suppose to be needed to clear the cailper. Mag still fowls on the caliper, looks like it will need the 16" mag to be able to fit over the caliper.. In short what a P#@% OFF, any body else had this problem, they are 290mm rotors with PBR calipers......... cheers Tony.

is it the offset of the rim or the actual size of the rim?
-
Actual inside diameter of the rim is too small, looks like it will need 16 or 17" rims, cheers
-
thats unfortunate mate.i didnt have the problem coz i just put 17' on mine straight away.did you go to a five stud or stay with the cortina 4 stud?
-
Stayed with the 4 stud as i didn't want to have to change the rear stud set up too. What size tyres does your have with the 17" and do you have any scraping from them..cheers Tony.
-
i went to the falcon 5 stud and i havent had any problems with them.no scraping, stops really well and since then ive had superow king springs put in and it doesnt scrape at all. i used the hoppers stoppers kit from melbourne. what kit did you use?
cheers shawn

sorry mate, ive got 215 40 17 tyres.i should have gone 235s for a beefier look, but the tyre shop didint have stock the wankers

Used the one off ebay, nice kit but had to do a couple of mods like machine down the hubs to the Cortina hub centre size, also the backing plate was to proud at the back of the hub which meant it wouldn't fully seat the hub on to the inner bearing, apart from that great kit, be a great improvement over the standard system.. what tyre size are you running on the 17" rims

Thanks caught your tyre size post.........
