Will the 1300 crossflow head fit on the 1600 crossflow engine.my replacement 1600 motor started seeping around the head gasket .I took head off cleaned it up and refitted with new gasket correct torque and order of tightening etc,it started seeping almost strate away. Was wondering if my old 1300 head will fit on it uses the same gasket.and never had any leaks.

I saw this thread from a while ago that discusses engine and head swaps

http://www.fordforums.com.au/printthread.php?t=12798

they say this about the heads:
1300 heads had smaller valves than 1600's and since the head surface is flat and the combustion chamber is cast into the piston the only way for increasing compression is different pistons (unless you got one of the rare combustion chamber in head head's which is very unlikely).
So heads may be interchangeable but hurt performance.

Most people on this forum have either ford sixes or 2l pintos so the information for Kent Engines around here is lacking. May be better lookng on UK ford or Formula ford forums as they still use them
