How to install td engine the right way
« on: January 04, 2013, 08:07:21 AM »

Hi all here is where I'm up to
At first I had the converter bolted to the fly wheel as it did come bolted when I removed it and the auto is still on the car I had trouble linking the engine and tranny up
Next I found out that the converter had to be put in auto first
So I have done that now I want to install engine today and was asking what is the next step eg how do I bolt the flywheel to the converter when the converter is about 30 mm in the tranny ( not much room )
To get hands in and then all the next steps do I don't stuff anything
Hope some one can help cheers
sorry the engine is a 250 pre cross and a borg tranny

Dear Justin, Give me a call on 0245 721 906 and I'll talk to you about your trans installation and hopefully explain how to do it .

If you haven't already inspect seal where the converter snout engages into the trans, check it for damage,  trying to fit the motor with the converter still on the flex plate is a sure way to damage it, you don't want to have to pull it apart again.
