Can't help you with a 9" but can I ask why a 9". Are you planning on making big hp or is it just a preference , the bw's can be beefed up.

I want to the rear end once. In future I would like to build a stoker motor for it so would want it to handle 600hp. What could a built bw handle?

For the bw's you can buy all replacement parts, billet axles, spools,  full spools think up to 31 spline, there's a few after market lsds Lokka is one though I've red mixed reviews on them http://lokka.com/site/
The Detroit truetrac ect http://www.eaton.com/Eaton/ProductsServices/Vehicle/Differentials/detroit-truetrac/index.htm
Bw's are a lot lighter too.
