Hi,

I just bought a TE to work on.  Came with 185 front and back.  I got hold of a set of dragways with 205 on the front and 235 on the back.  When fitting them, the 205 just peaks out beyond the guard (probably just legal) but the 235 is too wide...
I would have thought a 205 would fit easily...

What tyre width can I expect to use without mods?  Or does it depend on the rims as well?

its the rims that are the prob ive got 225 45 18 on front and 235 45 18 on the rear of my cortina has a offset of +39 i think and my rims are +42 i think
so if you have the right offset u will be ok
