I would like to know the full story, the following link does not explain much of what actually happened.

http://www.cortina-mk1.com/pdf/Statement_nats.pdf

We also offer webhosting for cortina owners, clubs, enthusiasts, events, etc, mostly for free because i havent got around to finishing the billing system, its only been 6 yrs now...lol

Anyone interested message me or CortinaD......who is CortinaD....a myth... a legend...or has he been :beamup maybe he got the  :axe cause that seems to be the norm for people in power.

I hate it when people cause trouble and then expect not to have others react. Bite the dog and the dog bites back.

tracey; i respect your comments but we're not idiots. correct me if i'm wrong. u mention vindictive ppl on another site. didnt u just tell the vindicitive owner of that site that they werent welcome? they're ideas are no longer welcome? and that everything they have done so far is appreciated but no longer neccessary?

u tell your boss he's an asshole, no more job. you tell your landlord he can stick it; no more house. you piss off your web host.......well suck me dry and call me dusty, no more website or forum. were u expecting a reacharound?

i'm really sorry but thru pure politics, manipulative behaviour, and a desire for unwarranted credit u'r club and its bullshit have destroyed an event which could've been something special and reshaped how the cortina community interact in the future.

At no point was Julie told she wasn't welcome, she was actually offered a position to continue helping and declined, all ideas were still welcome and at no point were they told that everything they had done so far was unappreciated, quite the opposite.  We understand that the event would not have progressed to where it is already without everyones help and input and they have been thanked and assured that their work is much appreciated.
Clearly uninformed comments have been made " manipulative behaviour, and a desire for unwarranted credit u'r club", none of this is true, manipulative, but not from us and the club has always been the organising body behind this event.

Hi All,
Yea seems to be the way, i remember the cortina Nationals being cancelled once before a few years back. Club politics too, i assume.
I would like to know whats really going on, as i have a bit of an investment in this event. That being approx $10G in promo stuff, including a shade awning with logos, 2 Cortina's on the build for the show and a campervan to make the journey more comfortable, about $100G total.
Dont like hearing stories that this show aint gunna happen, sometimes i wonder why i bother at all.   :banghead:

Hi All, Got some good and bad news regarding my attendance for the nationals, sorry but i will not be attending. I have the word for the transplant shortlist (less than 6mths) after 2 1/2 yrs  and i am not allowed to go anywhere. Priorities here people, took me a while to decide but i think i need the transplant rather than freeze my ass off in Vic somewhere lol. So this decision has pulled up plans for merchandise, cars, campervaans etc.
I hope we have a rep there somewhere, anyone interested in represting us as a club let me know, see what we can do for support.

justin, i'm led to believe its still on, just on an alternative capacity. i also think that if gillard were in charge there'd be a tax on it.

Everything I have received says it is still on. At worst I will be driving from Syd to Albury in my Nanna Wagon and picking up some parts on the way including a new tailgate for my Green Wagon, staying in a Motel in Albury and driving back. My wife is having a Girly weekend on the farm, so Albury is looking like a great option. The corro I have received from the organisers of the event is very positive and it looks like it will be a lot of fun. I am a photographer, so I am looking forward to having 200+ corties to shoot in one place!
