Custom Extractors $$$
« on: February 13, 2015, 07:38:04 PM »

Hey everyone.

I just want to throw this question out there. I am a week off having my corty rolling again and will be fixing in a dummy block to have extractors fabricated to suit engine bay and engine.

I was quoted $2500 for full custom extractors but being a popular conversion dropping a 347 windsor into a td i would assume somewhere out there in this large cortina loving country someone would make off the shelf ones to suit????

Has anyone on here had experience with off shelf ones if they exist?

the crs ones are shit and dont fit. they do a block hugger which are fantastic until u want to mount a starter motor. i'm not sure how they make them but i've tried a few times now to fit and have had to modify them in different places everytime.

mark at md conversions may do them and if he does then they will fit.

$2500 sounds a bit rich but then cheap gets u a cheap set.
