Thanks mate..Yeah i like the deep dish look on the rear. I am going to do mini tubs when i find a good cortina to start with. Done them on a cortina i had 12 yrs ago and modded the frame of the rear seat which took me 20 mins and you wouldn't have known.. I have some convo's that were on another car but they are way too big. They are 15 X 8.5 with 235's and were on the front of my XE ESP. They have got minimal dish. I've got all these ideas already and can't wait to start..

Looking real nice and the story is a tear jerker, i would like to do something fantastic like that for my Dad as well.
Regading your rims, do you know the width, you can usually tell the offset because the are only available in a couple common offsets per rim width.

They look like 3 3/8 backspace, depending if they are 6", 7" or 8"s.
I run same style rim in a 1 piece alloy from VPW with a  15 x 10 and 3 3/8 backspace,
Bucster

I think they are 7'' and 8'' on the back. I may have to go to 6'' yet but see how we go.

Hi all, Its been a while since i have been on here. I have some up dates on the beast, starting with all the front end has now been done and the back end is nearly finished. we put on the chrome trims for the wheel arch's but they rubbed on the tyres so we went to plan B. which was to go with the stick on type to solve the problem.

Good thinking on the chrome strips man!  :bigthumpup It's near impossible to find the original strips and if you do they are always damadged. Any chance you could post up a clearer shot of them? would like to see them upclose.

Car is looking sexy as too!

yeah sure is. the only rust in the hole car is in the engine bay fire wall and its not that bad. The back right quater has  had a slight hit at some stage but will fix up easy.
