Cortina "Landau" badge
« on: July 10, 2011, 03:05:35 PM »

Has anyone ever seen "Landau" badges on a TD Cortina, where they normanlly put the XLE badges on the sode panel behind the rear door windows. My car had them on it when I bought it at 4 yeras old. I had never seen a Cortina with a vinyl roof that came down onto the tops of the rear doors, The vinyl was all metal trimmed, so it was obviously all factory done. Has anyone elso seen "Landau" badges on a factory Cortina. These badges I still have. They wern't put on after the car was manufactured I'm sure, because when I did the rebuild. the original headling hadn't been tampered with and the lock washers on the badges were on the inside behind the headlining. Also I have never seen another Cortina with vinly on the door tops, has anyone else?
Ford Australia archive Section have no idea why they are on the car.
