if u didnt know one of my many projects on the go is a mk3 coupe. time to get cracking and get this sorted. last few weekends spent getting the diff in so i could bolt the wheels on. this is so first port of call on the body is i can get rid of the hideous rear wheel arches and return them to normal. enjoy :)

That diff looks the shit! You make it yourself or have it built? Any other shots of the car around?

i had the diff built by chris alston engineering in the states. it came with all the right goodies, wilwood brakes, 12" rotors, strange 31 spline billet axles, billet pinion carrier etc etc etc and it cost me about $3800. the local bloke here wanted close to 5 just for a normal 9 inch with normal goodies and normal brakes.

its a bit out of date but theres more photos at http://www.spyderbyte.com.au under MKIII 2 DOOR Episode 2 or click the pic in my signature.

onto the next bit. you poke your head under the front of a td cortina and the first thing that strikes u is how ugly the kframe is so i've re-engineered and redesigned mine. the full size images are in my album. next week to assemble it and maybe if time fit it to the car.

all finished and welded

ready to paint

nah no engine in but it has adjustable coilovers and thats the height i set it to to have a play with clearances etc. its all over the joint which u cant see in the photo and i had to take the lower control arms out again which is why its being supported in the photo. i've got a course on this weekend so i'm not sure if i'll get them finished and back in otherwise it'll be a couple of weeks. once it's in and setup properly i'll take a few more photos of how i've done it all.

i've also "misplaced" the link from the column to the rack which might be a problem.
