HI Guys

My name I Juan I am from South Africa I recently purchased a 1983 Gord Cortina XR6 and I have some trouble sorting out the electrical part of the car. The problem is when I swich on the lights my tale lights goes on but not my front one''s, is there any body that can help with this youre help will be appreciated I think that it could be a relay that may be faulty, and I did replace all the fuses

kind regards

Hi Juan and welcome to FordCortina.com.au website.
I have only read about the cortins Xr6 and not too familiar with the wiring layout, but if its similar to our Te model theres no relay controlling the head lights. The switch''s have been known to cause troubles if there were spotlights or brighter bulbs added to the original wiring system without using a separate relay etc.

Did your query relate to the little parking lights in the headlight or the main head light with the high/low globe?
Also just as a note when you replace the fuses clean up the terminals ends which hold the fuse in place.
