Hi, me too, im just after the large box unit only, that fits in the engine bay for a/c in a Te.
I bought a TE that came with one, but when the car arrived the unit was missing, gosh i hate that.

Hi all,
well i actually bit the bullet and ordered a speedy air spares unit, the Gen II, very compact unit with 2 dedicated screen demister outlets, left and right footwell outlets and 3 main 65mm outlets for the centre and side vents, the control unit gives full options for both heat and A/c

$880 for the base unit plus extras, condensor, filter/dryer etc.

Bucster, I'd be interested to see photoes and maybe a DIY of your install when you do it. Im currently saving up to get my motor rebuilt but I need to replace my vent system as the trip dellortos wont fit in there with the standard blower unit.

Hi, with your triple carbs are you trying to use the std heater box, cause i used a std heater box in the 1uzfe V8 cortina, i split the box apart, then drilled new holes for the heater pipes to exit at the top, turned the heater core upside down and put all back together, ground the plastic away anywhere close to hitting anything then fiberglassed up the clearence hole and original pipe exit holes and this gave me heaps of clearence around the v8 heads. That might work out easier for you.
Its the XR8 cortina thats getting A/C, mainly cause its going to NT, i will add pics and details when the unit arrives.

might give that a try, but the runners on the manifold are about 150mm long so it might be more then just a little cut out of the box. I also have to pull my dash apart any as the fan switch is not working. luckily i have a working spare.
