hey blake barra motor is a big task im gona say huge task the eng is longer than a el eng and ive only got like 15mm between the eng and radiator ive herd that u have to move the fire wall back ect plus the wireing will be a nightmare my te has el xr6 ang and t5 and i came across a sump that fits but is far from being good looking i had to have the tunnel cut out and made bigger to fit bellhousing and box had to run power steering due to to much work to make a idler to go where the p/s pump would go had to run twin thermos on the front of the rad as wouldnt fit between the eng and rad dude barra motor BIG job

i dont think anyone here has a barra engine running yet. there could be more by now but as far as i know there are only 2 anyway.

you can leave the firewall where it is but u will have to cut and modify the tunnel. with a bit of creative thinking u can get around clearance issues such as rad support, radiator etc without too much modification.  it will also need sump fabrication etc. once u touch the firewall engineering from then on is gonna be a nightmare.

if thats what u wanna do though then dont be discouraged and have a crack. theres alot of work in it which is the reason there arent many around. if it were easy everyone would have one.

tecortina: i didnt have to chop my tunnel out to fit a t5. i had to "massage" it a little where the startermotor is but thats it.

Hi TE Cortina
Pics are a little confusing to start with but it gets easier.

First make an album within your Gallery
Then upload and place your files
You can reference your pics directly into your forum messages by a few simple steps.

There is a how to here, let me know if its confusing and need modifying or pictures to explain and guide the user.
