leaking fuel pump

My 72 mk 3 1300 cc fuel pump has started leaking. far as I can tell it must be leaking out the side of the top cover held on with one screw down the center,pulled top off there is a black rubber seal which looks fine cleaned up around sealing surfaces but still seeping out .rang car spares they havnt got anything listed for a 72 mk3 only for mk1 and 2 and you have to buy a whole reconditioning set ,what can I do ?
