Gday, sounds interesting, how about some pictures fitted as well would be good?  Can't see why it wouldn't "work" but how well?  , so you're fitting the pinto webbers?

Obviously is not fitted yet, I'd like to see how you go about setting up the linkages, and it will look pretty  fancy too.

hi winton thanks for the interest .i dont know how to put photos here,so daughter will have to teach me .still tossing up whether to use the linkages i have not mounted yet or use two cables .my thinking is to use linkages to aid carbi synch and avoid cable stretch .once sorted i gotta find a dyno to set it up properly. height-wise it should clear the bonnet, however its not the end of the world if it pokes through a bit .car is a daily driver and my first 6 cyl after 2 x 4cyl versions in 18 years. it came to me doing 4500 rpm at 100k's  (couldnt be normal) so changed auto for supra 5 sp and got 4000rpm at 100k's ,so changed diff from 2.92:1 to 2.7? and found 3500rpm at 100 k's finally changed 13" mags to 15" audi mags and found 3000rpm at 100 k's which is more acceptable to me, could most of that problem be from fitting the wrong gearbox? think its a w58 ??

Is the tacho reading correct? Has it had a 4cyl tacho dash fitted before you got it. That doesn't  sound right,  I have 4.11's with a 3sp auto and at 100k's its just under 4000 with 15" wheels

I thought that maybe tacho was making up stories, but says 6cyl on back and looking at motor idling, id say it was roughly turning over 600 rpm like tacho says . 4cyl gearbox was also accused but dad (arent they great) pointed out fourth gear is usually 1:1 ratio, however the sparks per crankshaft revolution is different ,i think, maybe he might be onto something.   years ago i swapped a 3.50 diff to 2.92 in a 2 ltr and the differance on the highway was good, got a speeding ticket for 128 kph and had a grin from ear to ear ,of course that was ten year ago .I was well into slowing down ,told plod i was pushing it to see how fast it goes.
