I tightened the shit out of the kick down cable but it was still shuddering and slipping a little so I went and picked up another trans.. It's from a td 6cyl but its still a Borg Warner 35. should fit but the kick down cable looks a little different and the cooler lines are in a slightly different spot. Should be able to sort it out without too much drama. On the bright side the fluid looks pretty good and apparently it shifts really well so fingers crossed its all good!

Yea trans #2 seems to be a dud.. Does anyone know if a 4ltr and trans from a e series falcon would go in with my engine mounts, sump, oil pickup, tail shaft and x member? And would my inlet bolt to it? I'd rather not go efi for now so I don't have to worry about an ecu and fuel pump and lines etc...
I doubt it would be that easy but I thought id throw it out there just incase.

not without a heap of modification. if u dont wanna run an ecu u'll have to go ea or early eb with a 3spd auto and the later use an ecu to control the auto. all up it'll probably be cheaper and quicker to rebuild one of your bw35's.

Cheers man, the only reason I asked is because my mate has a couple donor cars laying around. Time to go get a quote at the trans shop I reckon.
