Hi from the new guy
« on: July 08, 2015, 01:26:14 PM »

Hi, my name is John, thanks for letting me join forum, Iam posting on behalf of my brother, his first ever car was a 69 240 cortina he purchased off original owner in his 80s 30 years ago, he had for 10 years and sold it off, by fluke he seen it advertised recently and bought back pretty much in the same condition as he had it, anyway what we are trying to find out is on the front guards there are small chrome fins and one on the bonnet which has a crest with the letter c, we have done as much research on the net and can't find any pictures or info of any other cortina with this on it, is it an aftermarket accessory? Dealership option? Any help is much appreciated, john, (will try get pic up from phone)

Hi John. Sounds like a nice find and is good to get it back in original hands again. Have a good look at the id plate and vin number. Start from there.

These are factory accessories, the fins pop up every now and then on ebay. They have a Cortina part number but were used on Falcons the only difference is the Falcons had a bird in the circle instead of a " C "
