MarkZE's Cortina Comeback
« on: March 26, 2016, 12:17:42 AM »

I like the new look site guys

Its the first time I've been on a car forum for a long time.  For some reason I got some enthusiasm back and I'm going to get my Cortina going again over the next few months.

I'm keeping a blog on my website and I have recently updated my articles:

http://www.turbocortina.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=11&Itemid=1

This forum was my original online home and I just received a few years worth of notifications. I forgot how many pictures and posts I shared in here!

Hopefully I'll find time to pop in here again in future.  I'm keen to see what others are up to with their Corty's.

Hey Mark welcome back mate.
Be good to see your rocket ship out punching numbers again. Most of the guys are still here albeit hibernating (Me) or longer term storage (pcman). Norm is still a legend as always and keeps the site active. Paulie (shadowlurker) is here somewhere looking at another revamp so we are more accessible via a mobile app.
Winton is our newest admin from Adelaide and just as mad as the rest off us so fits in well.
I'll have a look over your website and probably have a few questions for ya.

Hey Bucster,

I'll have to find all the showroom article and match up the names to their respective cars again.

I've been messing around with my site tonight.   PIA to use those online editor plugins.

Hey man. Good to hear you have the bug back again.

Mine hasn't moved or started in over 5 years. We are apparently getting a track again soon so 6 months out from that, i'll release the moths from the wallet and get it ready for a 1/4 run.

Off to a pretty good start.  I knocked over a bunch of little jobs that were in my too hard basket 5 years ago.  The sump is finished and zinc plated and I've started cleaning up the manifolds, turbo and fuel system.  Main delays will be getting the last work from my engine builder.  He only works part time and has other jobs to finish off before he can get back to mine.

I started a page on facebook to make it easy to share progress for anyone interested.
