MINT 1979 TE GHIA 250 CROSSLOW FOR SALE
« on: December 19, 2007, 04:30:27 PM »

Ford Cortina 1979 TE Ghia 250 crossflow reconditioned straight 6 engine (approx 70 000 km) on LPG. Only selling because im moving to NZ. Very reluctant as this car is a good runner with no sign of rust and much money spent on it. New pinion rack and momo steering wheel, new transmission, interior is immaculate with seat coverings and new car mats, scoop on the bonnet is for show, rear spoiler, 17'' low profile mag wheels, polythene bushes, lowered, have original wheels too if interested, LPG Gas makes for much cheaper fuel, new paint job with two very minor touch ups needed at some stage, rev counter, air conditioning, cd/mp3 player, louvers(rear window shade), new exhaust with extractors, paint protection applied only months ago. Anything else?Just ask or call 03 94171627 Ron

Asking price
« Reply #5 on: December 22, 2007, 10:45:35 AM »

Good observation. On ebay it is an auction starting from $2500. Here i am asking for $6000 but elsewhere i have more hastily asked for $5000. I would love to get $6000 but if i dont get enough interest by the time i need to leave the country then $5000 will suffice. As you can appreciate there has been a lot more money spent on this car than that.

Hi Ron,
I recon you should look at taking the car with you to N.Z.
Think they only had the mk4 not the Australian Te.
I've heard of other people bringing their cars here to OZ from N.Z so dodnt think it would be too expensive.

Hey cheers for the advise.
Ive got some quotes to get it to NZ and theres nothing less than $2500, can anyone suggest anywhere that might do it cheaper? My options are to pay this and take it with me, leave the car with someone i trust in AUS for now or sell it for cheaper than my current price. Youre right the TE is made in AUS and therefore more rare in NZ, hence it will have increased value there as well.
I really would love to take it with me but for that price its just too much right now.
