I don't know of any other engine that will fit in with the same engine mounts except the 4.1/250 motor, however it is not that expensive to have different engine mounts, it depends what you want to put in it.

For power you can't go past the 4.0 L turbo Ford motor or even cheaper is a front cut 2JZ Toyota turbo 3.0L that can get you anywhere from 230 to 800 or more KW depending on what you want to spend, up to 500 kw stock internals.

I have a 5.0L Ford motor in mine but that is  another story.

Cheers,

Tim

Boot leaks usually because of blocked sunroof channels, stuffed seals (lip or sometimes petrol seal), rust in the side vents or rust in the metal panels in the corner under the boot.

There are some pics of an orange cortina on this website that has a 302 with SA number plates. here :  http://fordcortina.com.au/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=2350&fullsize=1

In NSW you can't run an older engine such as a carbed 289 or 302 in a later model car unless you ran it on gas (because of the pollution issues), so mine is a EFI 5.0L.

There is a good kit from CRS for a Windsor conversion and all their stuff is pretty well sorted so I would just go with their stuff.
