Gday to all
I have been a guest here for a while, finally thought I had better register. I currently have 2 TE cortys, 2 injected crossflows, 1 x 1UZFE, 2 C4s & 1 9inch.
Who knows what I'll end up building out of this stuff? Love the work you guys do on this site, great info. Big fan of Marks car, awesome mate. I love the drags and go to WSID as often a I can (as spectator) at the moment.
Keep up the good work guys. Look forward to being around this site for a while.

Thanx man. I open to taking suggestions on which combo to use. A crossflow + C4 + turbo or 1UZ + C4 + 2 turbos. Either way I am building it for the strip only. The 9 inch is fully fab 4 link from a Pro-stock car, so may have to many mods to register in NSW.

Hey dude, Welcome.
Finally another 1UZFE into a cortina, its a bloody tight fit, i also looked at the twin turbo setup, they can just squeeze in behind the headlights, although the plumbimg becomes a headache with the intercooler.

I decided on the Eaton supercharger, reluctantly theres no way it will squeeze under the bonnet. Im building mine to be registered, and running into several little dramas.

Keep us posted also make an album for your pics as your guide how it has started and progressed.

Thanx for the welcome. I found your pics some time ago when researching the 1UZ and thought the same thing. I like the xflow but I think the 1UZ might be a better platform to start from. Not knocking the xflow though I love em and they make the power. The tight squeez is the other reason I wont worry about rego, it gives me more options for mods. I am going blow-thru 650DP on meth with MSD-DIS ignition. I will get to making an album soon. Great info on this forum and I don,t mind sharing what I do.

Hey TE-Jano,

Sounds like you are on the right track.

I would be keen to see someone get a 1UZFE going in a corty they are a tough engine.

I'll be keen to see the gallery when you get it happening.

I hope I'm on the right track. I have spent the last 12 months researching info and trying to decide between the xflow & 1UZ. Meanwhile I have been gathering bits & pieces I know I will need like the C4s and diff, etc. I'm hoping it will be ready to test run in the next 12 to 18 months, still a lot of work to do. Still waiting on reply from CSL in NZ about manifold for 1UZ to Holley carb. Should have album created in the next week or so on what I have so far. The 1UZ are a tough engine but still have mods to do like Ivan Tighe cams and 2JZ shim under buckets, duralite piston, hopefully the rest will remain fairly stock except for the 2 GT35BBs. I don't have a HP target, just whatever it makes I will be happy with for a while.LOL.

Before you get carried away with cams and rebuilding the bottom end, get it stuffed in there, you will find the sump needs quite a bit of modifying to fit around the steering and over the crossmember. What exhausts are you thinking of using?

Yeah, I was going to sit it in place first. Have taken a few measurements, but its not the same as dropping it in the hole. Bucster do you have pics of the mods done on your sump and engine mounts, all what brake booster did you use.

The exhaust manifolds I'll fab myself. I have bags of 34 & 38mm steampipe bends and pipe. The dump pipes will go out through the inner guards.

Chris.

Hi Chris,
I will get some more pics shortly when the cars on the hoist. I'm upgrading the gearbox and will upload them when thats done.

The brake booster is a custom unit, its called a VH something or other, that was done a few years ago.

Gday Bucster,
That would be great to see some pics. Save me trying to re-invent the wheel so to speak. I had in mind to mount the mastercylinder & booster under the dash area but the one you have is a neat little unit, I could probably get away with that one.
I went to great an album, and on the upload it told me my pics were to big, so I will re-size them and have another go at it.
