I NEED YOUR CORTINA EXPERTISE PLEASE!!!
« on: February 09, 2009, 09:22:29 PM »

Hi Guys,
I'm interested in the little red cortina MK1 Auto thats being auctioned on ebay at the moment and as I know absolutely nothing about cars (Hubby even puts my petrol in LOL) I thought I might come here for some advise on what you think of the model and price?

I'd also be interested to know what they're like to drive and how reliable they are and how hard it is to get parts?
I'd really love it to be my every day little car...also I should also ask about insurance.

Please feel free with any and all advise

Kindest regards Jo

hi jo
i believe this car is not going (if it`s the one im thinking of )
they are a good little car to drive if you keep them in good nick insurance is easy (shannons recently quoted my mate 350-400 for his gt mk1 but that is a club registered car) parts are still around but getting very hard to find (45 years old now) most mk2 mechanical parts will fit but also are getting very hard to find ,as such you wouldnt want to use as a daily driver
