Aussiespeed are prob the best I run one and the newer design I drop 1/2 a sec off the 1/4 mile from older one. They also flow better and more even than a redline mani.

yeah i was leaning towards the aussie speed. some blokes ive spoken with reckon not to go under a 600, but i was thinking the 500 would be alright, never considered the 465 but it seems to coming up alot when i ask so i might run with that. thanks

hi, my name is glen and i designed the latest version of the aussiespeed 4 barrel inlet. i flowed both the 2bl and 4bl against the redline ones at my expense and found the following results.
redline        2bl port #1, 175cfm, #2, 196cfm, #3, 187cfm
aussiespeed 2bl port #1, 205cfm, #2, 212cfm, #3, 212cfm

redline        4bl port #1, 185cfm, #2, 210cfm, #3, 225cfm
aussiespeed 4bl port #1, 218cfm, #2, 224cfm, #3, 223cfm

the redline 2bl has an 11% flow variation compared to the aussiespeeds 3%
the redline 4bl has an 18% flow variation compared to the aussiespeeds 2.5%

if using an aussiespeed 4bl on a x-flow that revs to 5500rpm you will need to jet about 4 sizes smaller and the average hp gain is around 17hp over the redline.. the aussiespeed 2bl inlet also out performs the ultraflow manifold by about 12-15hp..

with your combo using the crow 14872 cam i would use a 600dp carb for best results.. that cam will pull to 5500rpm so even a 650dp carb would be fine..
i can also supply you an aussiespeed inlet at the best price anywhere..  cheers
