Newbie with lots to learn!

Hi!

I just got my first Cortina, a 78 TE GHIA for a restoration project. This is my first attempt at this and I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead!

First thing I need to do is identify whether the body can be salvaged.. She has a few big rust patches in her that I'm hoping can be repaired, rather than looking for a new body. Engine work has been done, (although I have no idea what has actually been done to it, in the process of getting info from the shop that did the work) and I have been told the gearbox has been replaced with one from a V8 Mustang? Like I said, I'm new to this and will be full of questions :)

This should be fun. Bring it on!  :D
