1981 TF Cortina 3.3 litre six cylinder engine with 4 spd manual gearbox. A pristine vehicle in immaculate original condition - no rust

Everything in this car works and works well. The car has no issues. It needs no repairs. Completely stock except for a high quality CD player and good quality door speakers.

Genuine Ford driving lights.

I also have manuals and some spares including a pair of NOS Munroe gas shocks and sports dash.

I live in Wollongong and the vehicle is stored in country NSW. I may be losing my storage spot and I fear it will start to rust if I bring it down to the coast.

No rust!

Asking $7,800. All offers considered.

I had this car for sale on a major website that sells cars.  I had a lot of interest which was encouraging.

A couple of blokes came and looked at it, stood with their hands in their pockets and bagged it!

Another bloke did the same, it seems all they want to do is beat you down in price without making an actual offer.

What a waste of time.

One bloke reckoned the roof would have to come off to be repaired!  I couldn't believe it - but there, if you get the light reflection just right, is a slight imperfection, a slight crease.

So I came to my senses and withdrew it from sale.

Best decision I have made in a long time

Thanks Rick

Actually I bought the car in Adelaide and it didn't need much doing to it.

A bloke offered me $7,000 after rubbishing it to pieces.  I thought he was such a prick that I decided not to sell it to him and I told him I'd already knocked back $7,500.

The only thing I need to do now is fix up the driver's seat.  The back is twisted a bit and I understand that this is a common problem.  When going around a left hand corner I need to hang onto the steering wheel while right hand corners are OK.

I'll see if I can swap the seat backs over this weekend, I think having the backrest winder on the wrong side won't be a problem and I think they will fit OK

Hey Cav, glad you are not selling now... I think you will enjoy the Corty. I know I love my yellow one and take it for a good Sunday drive every week or so! I fitted the mudflaps as well (thanks heaps), and they have come in handy as we have had plenty of rain out our way!!

Cav, the locust crap was not too bad at all... they cleaned up fine. It is very good to have the full set on the car. I also replaced the carpet the other day, so the wagon is looking perfect once again! Thanks heaps.
