Corty Carby Question
« on: October 12, 2010, 08:31:59 PM »

I got a early XF 250 x/flo (alloy) engine from the wreckers for $100 i stripped it down, had the block acid washed, crack tested, bored 40thou.
I got the head(alloy, not EFI) shaved, port and polished, v8 cleveland valves and springs, yella terra roller rocker kit (inc pushrods, lifters and bolts) fitted.
The block got ACL pistons and rings, bearings, stage 3 cam from crow cams, new timing gear,(stock crank - shaved).
Question is:
Whats the best carby/manifold set up for it?,
I was thinking of gettin a 4brl 600 Holly(manual secondary) with a Redline manifold, but not sure if this set up is overkill,

A little help would be sweet.

Cheers...

Mate wat cam is it exactly because if its a 14770 cam then i would go with a 350 holley and aussiespeed manifold. Unles its something like a 14650 then i would say 4brl 600 holley.

Hey mate that aint no stage 3 cam its actually one of the highest cams you can put in a crossy.
Ditch the borgy box because she wont hold up lol.
It sounds like it could be a fairly decent motor so there is alot that you could look at if you are interested then send me a email at gtmarketing@live.com.au and i can share a bit of info with you.
It would be easier this way as i dont check the forums as much as my email.
