Hi,
The main difference in the early 351 windsor, was in the deck height. The block is actually 1" taller. Unsure about the later efi versions. When i purchased my V8 conversion kit from Castlemain Rod Shop, i asked if it suited a 351 windsor also and was told no it doesnt, they didnt say if its cause of different engine mounts or other problems.

I have a 351w in my TE cortina using the CRS engine mount brackets. The only major differenace with the 351w is the deck height. 302w - 8.206", 351w - 9.503" or 9.480" deck heights. All windsors and cleveland v8''s have the same mounting in the same position. Any of these engines will bolt straight up with the cortina v8 brackets(with the right sump away).
