G'day guys, sorry I havent been on here in a while, in the time I havent been on here Ive managed to sell some of my parts, 2 mark 3 1975 cortina's shift my 1971 GXL into storage, + move the Coupe up to Auckland and finally Hop the Ditch due to my home City copping all the EarthQuakes. Im Living up in Mackay now, and I should of come over here years ago, anyway the Coupes getting looked after by my panel beater and is going to be working on it in the coming months, I'll get photos of it so you all can finally see it. Its got very little rust in it has been in storage before I bought it for 17 years, is loaded up with parts so hope fully is near complete, came with extra set of Doors and rear guard cuts, he also threw in the Aussie 6 front end and Diff housing due to me sweet talking him :P another thing that he'd done prior was cutting the front off and stitching back on the tc/td front so that's got me thinking either 2v it as Ive got 1 in storage, or 4l inject it with a t5 behind it and lsd the diff. what do you guys think, Im guessing that im going to have to get the tunnel redone aswell.

Cheers Eliott

Hi,
Good to see you ome back, some pics would be great, as far as a motor & running gear, depends what comes to hand, as you have an original 2v, you should be using that. Other options are the V8 windsor or cleveland, but thats a common conversion that most are doing, i prefer something a lil more extreme, like a Lexus 4Litre V8 on Nitrous with twin turbos.

Hahaha, Id like to keep it on the road too Bucster, that's a little out of me league for now as Im a little inexperienced with Extreme kinds of Power & speed that a Twin turb'd nitro powered  Lexus would generate. So I might just keep it a bit "oldschool" for now and go with a worked 2v with decent holly on it and either a single rail, w55 or even my T5, but make the tunnel big enough to accommodate for a 4l OHC or v8 down the line.
